Worship:
KNOW-GROW-GO Followers of Jesus Christ worship on a regular basis.
John 4:23; "Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks." (NIV)
Membership:
KNOW-GROW-GO Followers of Jesus Christ join a church body and become active participants.
Romans 12:5, "…in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others." (NIV)
Relationship:
KNOW-GROW-GO Followers of Jesus Christ cultivate healthy and authentic relationships within families and between friends as they participate in small groups and other church ministries.
1 John 1:7, "But if we live in the light in the same way that God is in the light, we have a relationship with each other…" (GW)
Discipleship:
KNOW-GROW-GO Followers of Jesus Christ mature in their faith through spiritual disciplines.
Matthew 28:19-20, "19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you..." (NIV)
Stewardship:
KNOW-GROW-GO Followers of Jesus Christ submit their time, talents, and treasures (tithes and offerings) to God.
1 Corinthians 4:2, "Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful." (NKJV)
Workmanship:
KNOW-GROW-GO Followers of Jesus Christ are ministers who discover, develop, and deploy their gifts on ministry teams to creatively serve others.
Ephesians 2:10, "For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (NIV)
Ambassadorship:
KNOW-GROW-GO Followers of Jesus Christ communicate their faith to unbelievers in a style that fits them.
2 Corinthians 5:20, "We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us..." (NIV)
Leadership:
KNOW-GROW-GO Followers of Jesus Christ invest in others and over time lead them to become KNOW-GROW-GO Followers of Jesus Christ.
Romans 12:8, "… If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously…" (NLT)
Example of the Early Church:
Acts 2:42-47, "42 They devoted themselves to the apostles' (leadership) teaching (discipleship) and to the fellowship (membership), to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles (workmanship). 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common (relationship). 45 Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need (stewardship). 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God (worship) and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved (ambassadorship)." (NIV)
