We utilize eight focus areas for developing KNOW-GROW-GO Followers of Jesus Christ Worship: KNOW-GROW-GO Followers of Jesus Christ worship on a regular basis. Membership: KNOW-GROW-GO Followers of Jesus Christ join a church body and become active participants. Relationship: KNOW-GROW-GO Followers of Jesus Christ cultivate healthy and authentic relationships within families and between friends as they participate in small groups and other church ministries. Discipleship: KNOW-GROW-GO Followers of Jesus Christ mature in their faith through spiritual disciplines. Stewardship: KNOW-GROW-GO Followers of Jesus Christ submit their time, talents, and treasures (tithes and offerings) to God. Workmanship: KNOW-GROW-GO Followers of Jesus Christ are ministers who discover, develop, and deploy their gifts on ministry teams to creatively serve others. Ambassadorship: KNOW-GROW-GO Followers of Jesus Christ communicate their faith to unbelievers in a style that fits them. Leadership: KNOW-GROW-GO Followers of Jesus Christ invest in others and over time lead them to become KNOW-GROW-GO Followers of Jesus Christ. Example of the Early Church: Acts 2:42-47, "42 They devoted themselves to the apostles' (leadership) teaching (discipleship) and to the fellowship (membership), to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles (workmanship). 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common (relationship). 45 Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need (stewardship). 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God (worship) and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved (ambassadorship)." (NIV) |
